Michel brings with him with over 25 years of global experience in corporate finance, business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic investments. A proven leader in financial management and business turnarounds, Michel has an exceptional track record of delivering results across diverse sectors, including real estate, hospitality, oil & gas, industrials, and project development.
Michel’s professional journey spans multiple continents, having worked with prominent organizations such as PwC, Mars Inc., and Al Qudra Holding, where he served as CEO and grew the company’s net worth from US$ 90 million to US$ 1.8 billion over a span of 10+ Years, with assets under management totaling US$ 2.9 billion. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s reach by acquiring several businesses before taking the company public, navigating through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and negotiating loans in excess of US$ 680 million with banks to maintain the company’s credit rating and reduce its finance cost.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of the Lebanese American University with Dean’s honor list, Michel holds deep expertise in both financial and operational management. He has developed and executed high-profile transactions, including the issuance of convertible bonds worth US$ 650 million and the development of the world’s largest indoor caviar plant in Abu Dhabi, securing US$ 116 million in equity & debt investments. He has also led the development of major hospitality projects, retail, and residential projects totaling over US$ 2.1 billion.
Michel has a longstanding reputation for leading large-scale investments and M&A initiatives. He has advised governments and conglomerates, facilitated the privatization of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Arm, and supported the listing of many companies on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, securing cumulative paid-in capital of over US$ 950 million. Additionally, his work on equity investment initiatives exemplifies his ability to successfully manage and grow investment portfolios.
Beyond his corporate success, Michel is a passionate advocate for education and social responsibility. He has been an active speaker at renowned institutions, including Leicester University, Zayed University, and DeVry Becker University. He is also committed to mentoring senior graduates at the Lebanese American University and serves on the advisory panels for both the university and the Global Mentorship Initiative.
Michel’s career is marked not only by business accomplishments but by a genuine commitment to community development. He is the founder of “Second Chance,” a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial aid to orphans, and has been instrumental in initiatives that support employment for elderly workers and the empowerment of underprivileged communities.
